PLASTICS WASTE Business Development Network

“Turning Waste into Wealth, Driving a Circular Economy”

The Waste Plastics Business Development Network (WPBDN) is an international and regional platform initiated by Intermedia Corporation and the World Trade Promotion Alliance (WTPA) to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time—plastic waste management. The project seeks to convert challenges into opportunities by promoting innovation, investment, and business collaboration in recycling, upcycling, sustainable packaging, circular economy models, and waste-to-energy technologies.

WPBDN acts as a bridge between industries, entrepreneurs, researchers, associations, and policymakers, ensuring that waste plastics are no longer seen as an environmental burden but as a valuable resource for sustainable economic development

“From Pollution to Prosperity – Building a Circular Plastics Economy”

“Recycle. Redesign. Rebuild the Future.”

Importance

  • Global plastic waste exceeds 400 million tons annually, with less than 15% effectively recycled.
  • The circular plastics economy is expected to create new business markets worth billions of dollars by 2030.
  • Governments, corporates, and communities are urgently seeking sustainable solutions and business development models.
  • WPBDN provides the right platform for business collaboration, policy advocacy, technology transfer, and market access to accelerate this transformation.
